About CFD

You will not find rows of traditional gym equipment at CrossFit Durango. Any isolated movement, such as a one-arm bicep preacher curl, will not be allowed. If the movement is not a compilation of muscles and bone moving to the mind’s rhythm, we don’t implement it.
CrossFit Durango strongly believes in constantly varied functional movements performed at the highest intensity. To accomplish this, you will find pull-up bars, rowing machines, gymnastic rings, kettle bells, Olympic bumper plates and a very committed team of coaches and group of members.  

We focus on effective functional fitness using CrossFit as a foundation.  It is every bit a sport as it is an extraordinarily effective training system.  This means that you, as a client, will never be bored, will work hard for your fitness goals, and will see the results you desire.  You will never have to wonder what you are going to do when you walk into “the gym”; rather we will have designed the workout, warm-up and skills development for you, and will coach you through every aspect of the workout in a supportive group environment…much like a team sport.

CrossFit Durango members are seen rowing and running various distances, performing gymnastic movements, swinging kettle bells, doing pull-ups, push-ups, and educating themselves on how to move and eat for optimal health.  Our programming is designed to improve your work capacity across the ten domains of fitness recognized by experts worldwide:  cardio-respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy.
