Jacob Nester is an owner, trainer and CrossFitter at CrossFit Durango. His certifications include CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Kids, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Endurance, Concept 2 Row, Hybrid Athletics Strongman, Dragondoor Hardstyle Kettlebell, USA Weightlifting and Westside Barbell Powerlifting.. His educational background is Engineering-Physics and experience includes over a decade of training and gym management.
Jen Sokol's athletic career can be traced back to her early years when she was actively involved in everything from soccer to dance. In high school, she was the first female wrestler at Rutherford High in Panama City Florida and placed first at the Florida Women's State Wrestling Championships in 2003. In addition to wrestling, she was a competitive weightlifter and was undefeated on the women's weightlifting team earning the county championship two years in a row. Jen found CrossFit in December of 2006, when she was trying to find a rigorous fitness program to help her pursue her firefighting career. She became actively involved with CrossFit and her current certifications include: CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Kids, CrossFit Concept 2 Rowing, ACE Certified Personal Trainer, and Fire Service Fitness Specialist. Jen is also a CrossFit competitor; in 2011 she qualified for CrossFit Regionals and placed 21st in the Southwest Region. Jen is a co-owner of CrossFit Durango, is still firefighting for Durango Fire & Rescue and is on the fire department's fitness committee. In her spare time, she teaches Iyengar inspired yoga for athletes.
Benson Fletcher is a Co-Owner and Trainer at CrossFit Durango. He has been a part of the community since the doors opened in October, 2008. His certifications include CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Endurance, CrossFit Olympic Weightlifting with USAW level 5 coach Mike Burgener, Crossfit/Concept 2 Rowing with Olympic Gold Medalist Erin Cafaro, CrossFit Kettlebell with Jeff Martone, CrossFit Gymnastics with Jeff R Tucker, Crossfit Mobility with Kelly Starrett DPT, CrossFit running with Nicholas Romanov PHD, Romanov Academy Pose Running Specialist, CrossFit Strongman with Rob Orlando, CrossFit Coaches Prep course, CrossFit Powerlifting with Shane Sweatt and Laura Pheleps-Sweatt, CrossFit Powerlifting with Mark Bell and Jesse Burdick, USA Olympic Weightlifting level 1 with USAW level 4 coach Joaquin Chavez, Dragondoor RKC with Master RKC Keira Newton and Mark Bixby RKC team leader, and ACE. He brings a strong commitment towards CrossFit and clients to our affiliate.
Paige has been working in the fitness industry for six years. She graduated with honors from the National Personal Training Institute in 2009. Her certifications include CrossFit Level 1, NSCA Certified Personal Trainer, and Functional Movement Screen Levels 1 and 2. Paige also works at Quantified Performance physical therapy where she is constantly expanding her knowledge on the musculoskeletal system and movement.
Marty is a Crossfit Trainer who brings a technical and well-researched method of coaching to his classes. His certifications include Crossfit Level 1 and Hybrid Athletics Strongman. Even though he participated in organized sports through the collegiate level and coached various sports for almost ten years, he counts himself among the myriads of athletes for whom Crossfit has been a life-enhancing experience. Marty was also a proud service member of the US Navy from June 2001 through February 2005.
Cindy Erickson is a trainer and crossfitter at Crossfit Durango. She has a Crossfit level I certification, Masters in exercise physiology, and is a K-12 certified physical education teacher. Cindy has 30 years experience working with adults in fitness settings. She has 10 years experience working with 5-18 year olds. Cindy enjoys Mountain biking, running, skiing, and kayaking.

Suzanne Schieltz has been activley involved in Swimming since age 5. She swam for two years at the University of New Mexico and Qualified for Junior Nationals. She has been coaching swimming for 16 years and is an ASCA Level 3 Coach and has had several National Top 16 Qualifiers. She has also been active in the gym since age 14 and currently holds her Crossfit Level 1 Trainers Certification. Suzanne enjoys snowboarding, swimming, running, crossfit, and good jokes.
Linda is a CrossFit trainer whose certifications include CrossFit Level 1 and ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer. For Linda, CrossFit has been a life-enriching journey. She has become addicted to the empowerment that comes with throwing barbells overhead and completing pull-ups unassisted. Her goal as a trainer is to aid people of all ages experience the empowerment and increased quality of life that come through CrossFit.
Cody is a CrossFit Trainer whose certifications include CrossFit Level 1 and ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer. Cody loves to practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as well as Muay Thai Kickboxing. He was an elite level Nordic skier, a professional downhill mountain bike racer as well as an expert motocross racer. For Cody, CrossFit has been a life-enhancing experience. As a recently diagnosed Type-1 Diabetic, the combination of CrossFit and Paleo has made his quality of life even better than before diabetes. He is extremely passionate about helping people improve their quality of life through CrossFit and Paleo.
